O concerto de Giovanni Maria Perrucci e António del Pino surge na sequência da inauguração do restauro do órgão Oldovino de 1756 presente na Sé de Évora e que ganhou nova vida. Este novo instrumento, colmatando a falta que se fazia sentir da ausência de um segundo órgão renascentista desmantelado em 1942, permitiu trazer o renascimento da música a dois órgãos nesta catedral.
