Neste “INTERVALOS” vamos falar da Caixa de Água Renascentista do Aqueduto da Água da Prata que existiu na Praça 1.º de Maio, junto ao antigo Convento de S. Francisco. Esta estrutura foi demolida em 1873, no âmbito do reordenamento do antigo Largo S. Francisco.
A partir da segunda metade do séc. XIX, esta foi uma das intervenções que se deram no centro histórico para a sua reabilitação, após a degradação de alguns conventos devido à extinção das ordens religiosas.
