Taeko tem uma vida tranquila na companhia do seu filho, Keita, e do seu marido, Jiro. Um trágico acidente leva ao reaparecimento de Park, o pai biológico de Keita. Park é surdo e encontra-se a viver na rua. Para lidar com a dor e com a culpa, Taeko dedica-se a ajudá-lo. Love Life, inspirado na canção homónima de Akiko Yano, é um melodrama íntimo e tocante sobre a complexidade dos laços familiares, e como estes sobrevivem à perda e à solidão.
