“Grand Tour” é o candidato de Portugal à categoria de Melhor Filme Internacional, na 97ª edição dos Prémios da Academia Americana de Cinema, que acontece a 2 de março de 2025.
“Grand Tour”, realizado por Miguel Gomes e produzido pela Uma Pedra no Sapato, retrata a história de Edward (Gonçalo Waddington), um funcionário público do Império Britânico, em Rangum, Birmânia, no ano de 1918. No dia da chegada da sua noiva Molly (Crista Alfaiate) para o casamento, Edward foge, dando início a uma jornada pela Ásia onde o pânico cede lugar à melancolia. Durante a viagem, ele reflete sobre o vazio da sua existência e questiona o que terá acontecido a Molly.
